Ugandan musician and media personality Tuff B has revealed that he is still waiting on the National Unity Platform (NUP) to respond to his petition challenging the party’s decision to award the Makindye East parliamentary flag to another candidate.
The artist-turned-politician, who had sought the NUP nomination, emphasized that his petition is not just about himself but also represents seven other candidates who competed for the same ticket.
“The petition isn’t for myself; it’s for the other seven candidates too who sought the card with me,” Tuff B explained. “We don’t believe in the credibility of the person who got the card; therefore, I challenged it and I’m awaiting their response.”
Questioning Transparency in Party Endorsement
Tuff B raised concerns about the fairness and transparency of the nomination process, casting doubt on the credibility of the candidate who ultimately received the endorsement. “I chose NUP because it represents hope for the people, and I trust Bobi Wine’s leadership,” Tuff B stated.
