On his 47th birthday, celebrated on September 1st, renowned Gagamel singer Moses Sali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, chose to mark the occasion with acts of charity in Mukono District.
While many of his birthdays are celebrated with social media tributes and festive parties, this year, Bebe Cool shifted the focus to giving back to the community. On Sunday, he visited Bukuku Kyajja Nagojje village in Mukono District to continue his support for Olivia Nakate, who has been battling spinal cord paralysis since 2008.
In 2018, Bebe Cool first came to Nakate’s aid by donating a wheelchair to help with her mobility issues. This year, he returned with a renewed commitment to support her further. Alongside his family and fans from the Gagamel Phamily, Bebe Cool provided a range of essential items including a new wheelchair, household goods, a mobile phone, and a sewing machine. Additionally, he oversaw the renovation of Nakate’s home and pledged to establish a salon business for her two daughters, aged 19 and 22.
Bebe Cool’s philanthropic gesture extended beyond material donations. He also contributed food supplies such as rice, cooking oil, beans, and sugar. In a heartwarming conclusion to the day’s events, a friendly football match between Kyajja FC and Gagamel FC was held, with Gagamel FC emerging victorious with a score of 3-1.
In his heartfelt message, Bebe Cool expressed gratitude for the opportunity to support Nakate and her family, and he prayed for Nakate’s eventual recovery and return to a normal life. His selfless act of kindness has been met with widespread praise from netizens, highlighting his dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
