Eddy Kenzo’s recent revelation of his relationship with State Minister of Energy and Minerals Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro has drawn praise from his former associate, Big Eye Starboss. Kenzo disclosed his relationship with Nyamutoro and their shared child while performing at the Comedy Store UG on Eid day, referring to her as his “personal person.”
Big Eye, who split from Kenzo’s Big Talent label years ago due to musical differences, spoke to Sanyuka TV about Kenzo’s disclosure. He believes the relationship adds significant weight to musicians’ social influence and marks a positive shift in how musicians are perceived in society.
Big Eye noted that musicians were once stereotyped as lowlife individuals who couldn’t settle down or form stable families. However, Kenzo’s relationship with a government minister challenges this outdated perspective and highlights the importance and potential of musicians in society.
“We might disagree on many issues, but I congratulate him on this,” Big Eye stated. “As a musician, we have something that unites us. If a musician can develop a special secret relationship with a minister, it makes me happy as a musician because people used to refer to us as thugs.”
Big Eye’s remarks underscore the changing perception of musicians and their capacity to establish meaningful relationships and form lasting partnerships. Kenzo’s relationship with Nyamutoro serves as an example of how artists are increasingly being recognized for their value beyond entertainment, demonstrating their impact and relevance in broader societal contexts.
