Elijah Kitaka, a rising star in Uganda’s music scene, has shared insights on why he has yet to host a concert, despite his growing popularity.
Kitaka views holding a concert as a significant milestone in any artist’s career, but he believes that his musical journey is still in its early stages.
He pointed out that each artist follows a unique path, and the timing of major events like a concert varies from one artist to another. Kitaka referenced fellow artist Vinka, who, like him, is signed to Swangz Avenue. He noted that when the time is right for Vinka to hold a concert, it will be clear that she has fully embraced her musical journey.
As for his own career, Kitaka acknowledged that he isn’t ready yet to take on the challenge of organizing a full-scale concert. Nevertheless, he is confident that the time will come when he is prepared. For now, Kitaka is focused on growing his fanbase, particularly with his latest hit single, “Dawa,” which is currently one of the top-trending songs in Uganda.
