Faiza Salima has candidly reflected on her lifelong struggle with body image, revealing that her greatest insecurity has always been her weight—a challenge she has faced since her teenage years.
In a recent reflection, Faiza shared how her unexpected time behind bars had an unforeseen impact on her self-image.
“When I came out of prison, I was relieved to see that I had lost some weight,” she admitted.
Faiza explained that her relationship with her body is often in flux; some days, she feels content with her appearance, while on others, she believes she carries “a bit too much weight.”
Her time in prison stemmed from her participation in the #March2Parliament protests last month. Faiza, along with others, was arrested and spent a week in detention. Despite the harsh conditions, she found a silver lining in her weight loss—a small victory in her ongoing battle with body insecurity.
