Sulubada High School singer Mikie Wine has opened up about his journey through love, shedding light on his relationships with his ex-wife Shazney Khan and his current partner, Pauline Kemigisha. In a revealing interview, Mikie Wine, who is also the brother of Bobi Wine, discussed his decision to reunite with Pauline, acknowledging his past mistakes and expressing a desire to make amends.
Mikie Wine admitted that reconnecting with Pauline was a step towards correcting an earlier misjudgment. He recognized that he had undervalued what he truly needed in a relationship, opting instead to pursue someone else. “I realized the mistake I made and decided to correct it before it was too late. Sometimes, it’s rare to get a second chance. By reflecting, I understood what I wanted versus what I needed. Initially, I had what I needed but took it for granted. I needed Pauline but wanted Shazney,” he confessed.
Mikie and Pauline had previously been in a relationship but parted ways, leading him to be with Shazney. On October 2, 2021, Mikie Wine and Shazney Khan celebrated their union with a grand traditional Kwanjula ceremony, marking the official introduction to Shazney’s family. The couple had two children together before their relationship ended.
Rumors about their separation began circulating on social media in December 2022, and by 2023, it was clear that Shazney had moved out of Mikie’s home and removed all traces of him from her social media profiles.
In August of the same year, Mikie Wine publicly declared his renewed commitment to Pauline Kemigisha on social media, reaffirming his love for her.
In contrast, Shazney addressed their breakup publicly, citing issues of domestic violence and infidelity. In a social media post, she cautioned women against dating musicians, claiming that such relationships could be emotionally damaging.
