Ugandan rapper Da Agent isn’t shy about giving himself his flowers — and this time, he’s claiming a major cultural win. The “Bamungamba” hitmaker says his track is the biggest cultural song of this generation, and fans across Buganda might just agree.

The song, which passionately praises the Kabaka and celebrates Buganda pride, has turned into a cultural anthem — played at events, festivals, and traditional gatherings all over Uganda. Da Agent says the song’s staying power is proof that music rooted in culture still has a massive influence today.

“Do you know that I also have another old one called Mayi Mayi Ayiye Amata? It’s played everywhere and emcees use it. It’s like a norm. Ugandans need to be reminded — it’s also big,” he told Smart Bizz in a recent interview.

The rapper explained that his unique rap style draws inspiration from the traditional Kadodi rhythm, giving his music a deep cultural heartbeat that resonates beyond the club scene.

But Da Agent isn’t stopping there. He revealed that his catalog isn’t limited to cultural tracks — he also has bangers that appeal to urban audiences, a balance he says sets him apart from other artists in the game.

“I have hits across multiple categories,” he said confidently. “Not every artist can boast of that.”
