Ugandan dancer and entertainer Ritah Danchall says she can go years without sex, pushing back against the idea that her energetic and provocative stage performances reflect her private life.
Speaking on Galaxy TV, Ritah said she is capable of remaining celibate for extended periods and has previously gone as long as three years without sex.
“I can even make two years. Don’t take my stage antics for sexual appeal because that’s what my job requires as a dancer,” Ritah said.
She explained that her performance style depends on the setting. While she may bring a wild energy to certain shows, particularly performances in bars, she said she adjusts her approach when appearing at corporate events.
“People embraced me and they know I’m wild, but I also do it where necessary, especially in bars. I can’t appear the same way at corporate events,” she added.

Ritah also spoke about controlling her desires when she feels the need for intimacy, saying her ability to remain celibate comes down largely to controlling her mind and staying committed to her personal choices.
She recalled a previous relationship in which her partner moved abroad, saying her loyalty kept her committed despite the distance.
“I had my guy and he went abroad, and I’m so loyal to the point that even if you leave for abroad, I stay faithful with the thought that you’ll return,” she said.
Ritah also said she does not masturbate.
Her comments highlight the distinction she draws between her professional persona and private life. Onstage, she performs according to the demands of the entertainment environment; away from the spotlight, she says she is capable of exercising considerable restraint.
For Ritah, being known for an energetic stage presence doesn’t necessarily tell the full story about the woman behind the performances.
