Vinka has addressed longstanding speculation about a rivalry with fellow singer Irene Ntale, making it clear that there is no bad blood between them ahead of her debut Live and Loud concert at Lugogo.
The speculation resurfaced after Ntale publicly rallied fans to support Vinka, urging music lovers to turn up in large numbers for the singer’s highly anticipated show.
“This Friday, we’re ALL showing up and showing out for Vinka at Vinka Loud in concert at Lugogo!! Miss at your own risk,” Ntale wrote on social media.
The public show of support caught the attention of fans because the two singers have previously been the subject of rumors suggesting they were not on good terms.
But Vinka says there was never a feud to begin with.

During her final press conference at Lugogo Oval on Thursday, Vinka was asked about Ntale’s decision to publicly support her concert. Her response was clear: she was not surprised.
“There is actually nothing. So, for me, it was not a surprise. Irene Ntale wishes me well. We don’t have a problem with each other,” Vinka said.
According to Vinka, much of the supposed tension between them has been created by outside speculation rather than anything that happened between the two singers.
“People don’t understand that. It’s people who keep saying this and that and many other speculations. We don’t have a problem with each other,” she added.

Vinka also used the moment to thank Ntale and other musicians who had shown support for her concert.
“But it was a very good thing. Thank you so very much to all the artists that have been supportive during this time,” she said.
Ntale’s public endorsement therefore appears to have provided Vinka with an opportunity to directly address years of speculation surrounding their relationship.
Rather than treating the support as unexpected, Vinka described it as consistent with the relationship she says she has with Ntale.
For fans who had been following the rumored tension between the two, Vinka’s message was simple: there is no rivalry to settle.
