The musician is using his maiden concert to prove he can command the stage, not just write hits for other artists.
Songwriter and musician Dokta Brain says promoters have not yet fully embraced him as a performer, revealing that many people in the industry still primarily associate him with songwriting.
The artist is now hoping to change that perception with his maiden concert next month, a show he says was largely driven by demand from his fans.
Speaking to Galaxy TV, Dokta Brain explained that he and his team are financing the upcoming concert themselves, without backing from a major sponsor.
“We have organized it with my team, it’s not like we have a sponsor for it. It’s me, my team and insiders who are buying the early bird tickets, funding for others who are still analyzing.”
Dokta Brain Wants Promoters to See Him Differently
According to Dokta Brain, the concert is about more than simply putting on a show. He wants to demonstrate to promoters that he can successfully transition from being known primarily as a songwriter to becoming a headline performer.
He believes starting with smaller events will allow him to gain experience, build confidence and gradually become more comfortable performing in front of larger audiences.
“I want to show them how it can look like if you organize me such that when I turn down a show, you understand. It’s why I want to be organizing small events so that those people get used to me and I also stop the fears of a big crowd.”
The strategy also gives the musician an opportunity to learn what works for him as a live performer before taking on significantly larger stages.

Dokta Brain acknowledged that performing for a large audience comes with its own challenges and said the upcoming show is partly about overcoming his own fears.
He believes a turnout of around 1,000 fans at the Skyz event would give him an opportunity to interact closely with a substantial portion of his audience.
That experience, he hopes, will make it easier to recognise, connect with and understand his fans as he progresses to bigger concerts.
For Dokta Brain, the maiden concert is therefore both a performance and a statement of intent: he wants the industry to see him not just as the songwriter behind music, but as an artist capable of carrying a live show himself.
