Ugandan singer Kid Fox has opened up about why he has never married or fathered children despite spending the past 14 years living in Japan.
The “Love Is a Good Feeling” singer said his decision to delay starting a family was largely influenced by his desire to first become financially stable.
Kid Fox explained that he did not want to bring children into the world only for them to struggle because of his financial situation. According to him, however, the years passed without him reaching the level of financial stability he had initially hoped for.
“About giving birth, I wanted to do it when I’m financially stable. I didn’t want to give birth and my kids struggle. Unfortunately, time ran when money had failed to accumulate. So that was my story. Even if I don’t have money now, I will just take shots to give birth.”
The singer’s comments offer a candid explanation for why marriage and fatherhood remained on hold for so long.
But Kid Fox is now openly talking about settling down — and he already has a fairly specific idea of the woman he wants to marry.
He said he is looking for someone who is patient, wise and knowledgeable, while also acknowledging that physical attraction matters to him.
“I want a woman who is patient with a man, wise and knowledgeable. I’m just looking for a wife. Physically, I want one with a good body shape and a pretty face, aged between 20 and 35.”
Kid Fox was also asked whether his search for a wife could include a single mother.
He said he would consider marrying a single mother, provided the relationship would be a partnership rather than one in which he carries the entire financial burden.
“I can still go with a single mother as long as she is beautiful and nice-looking. For a single mother, if you’re financially stable and not going to burden me, and you’re ready to help me, we can survive.”
His comments make one thing clear: after years of prioritizing financial preparation, Kid Fox says he is now looking for a partner with whom he can build a future.
Whether that search ends with marriage and children remains ahead of him, but the singer is no longer keeping his plans for settling down under wraps.
