Two suspects facing proceedings in connection with the death of Afrigo Band musician Moses Matovu have been remanded to Luzira Upper Prison as investigations continue.
Vincent Arnold Nsamba, 47, also known as Sitenda, and his co-accused, Rose Tumusiime, appeared before the Makindye Magistrates Court, where the murder charge was read to Nsamba.
Following the court appearance, the two were remanded in custody.
The case was not heard on its merits, with prosecutors continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding Matovu’s death.
Nsamba and Tumusiime are expected to return to court on November 3, 2026, for mention of the case as state prosecutors continue gathering information.
Matovu, a veteran member and founder of the legendary Afrigo Band, died on September 24, 2026. His death triggered a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding his final hours.
The latest court proceedings mark another development in the case, but the allegations against the accused have not been determined by the court.
As investigations continue, Nsamba and Tumusiime remain in custody pending the next mention of the case.
