Zari Hassan has pushed back against claims that she ordered Jose Chameleone to be kicked out of her 46th birthday celebration, insisting the Ugandan music star was not the person she wanted removed from the party.
The socialite and businesswoman celebrated her 46th birthday at an invite-only event last week, with guests reportedly expected to follow a smart-dress code as Zari prepared for a glamorous evening.
Chameleone was among those in attendance. During the celebration, Zari took the microphone and instructed security to remove guests she had seen wearing T-shirts and jeans.
The moment quickly sparked speculation on social media, with some people linking the incident to Chameleone because the singer was seen moving around while Zari was giving the instructions.
Zari has now denied that interpretation.
According to Zari, Chameleone was not among the people she was referring to when she asked security to intervene. She said she had returned from changing into her second outfit when she noticed three men whose clothing did not meet the standard she wanted for the party.
“Chameleone was not among the people I kicked out of my party,” Zari said.
She described the three men as wearing T-shirts, blue jeans and dirty sneakers, adding that she had not even seen where Chameleone was at the time.

The clarification comes after the singer’s appearance at the party became part of the online conversation surrounding Zari’s dress-code enforcement.
Zari also emphasized her relationship with Chameleone, making it clear that she considers the veteran musician much more than just another guest at her event.
“Everyone ranting and claiming I was chasing Chameleone should know that he is my person. He is my brother, my family, my personal person,” she said.
Zari added that Chameleone has supported her over the years and that she has also been there for him.
That explanation directly challenges the social-media narrative that her comments were aimed at the “Valu Valu” singer, with Zari maintaining that her intervention was directed at other guests whose outfits she felt did not belong at her birthday celebration.
For now, Zari’s position is clear: Chameleone was not the target of her dress-code crackdown, and she says their long-standing friendship remains intact.
