Media personality Jonathan Nalebo has weighed into the debate over the music catalogues of Sheebah Karungi and King Saha, arguing that Sheebah has built a stronger body of work.
Nalebo, who is also an apostle, said Sheebah is “bigger” than the “Mpa Love” hitmaker and has maintained a more consistent music catalogue throughout her career.
“Sheebah is bigger than King Saha anytime, any day.”
Nalebo went further, arguing that King Saha’s catalogue does not match that of rapper Fik Fameica, despite Saha’s status as one of Uganda’s established musicians.

He acknowledged that King Saha has enjoyed significant success but argued that the singer’s strongest period of dominance has come relatively recently, particularly over the past two years.
According to Nalebo, Saha previously relied heavily on individual hit songs, performing them repeatedly and maintaining their popularity until he had enough momentum to stage a concert.
“He has only trended for the past two years. Before that, he would have one hit song and milk it until he gets a concert.”
Nalebo cited songs including “Mulilwana” and “Gundeeze” as examples of tracks he believes Saha leaned on for extended periods.

He also suggested that the approach could have been influenced by veteran musician Jose Chameleone, whom he associated with building long-term concert appeal around popular songs.
Nalebo’s comments add another voice to the ongoing conversations around how Uganda’s leading artists should be measured — whether by individual hit songs, consistency, longevity, concert draw or the overall strength of their catalogues.
His assessment, however, remains his personal view, rather than an objective ranking of Sheebah, King Saha or Fik Fameica.
