Ugandan gospel singer Levixone has weighed in on the conflicts and disagreements that sometimes emerge among gospel artists, arguing that such battles are part of the wider world and should not distract musicians from their faith and calling.
Levixone said disagreements are not exclusive to the gospel music industry. For him, the important issue is how an artist responds after choosing to follow Jesus Christ.
“It’s the world, fights happen everywhere but it’s on me as someone who accepted Jesus to stay on course and not mind about who’s fighting me,” he said.
The singer encouraged gospel artists to remain focused on the reason they entered music rather than allowing criticism, disagreements or opposition from others to pull them away from their purpose.
He also urged musicians to remember the person who called them into music ministry and to keep that calling at the center of their careers.
Levixone’s comments come as gospel music continues to grow as a major part of Uganda’s entertainment industry, with artists navigating both the opportunities and challenges that come with being public figures.

Beyond conflicts with others, the singer also opened up about the personal challenges he has experienced throughout his own career.
Levixone acknowledged that he has faced numerous difficulties but said he has not always found it easy to talk about them publicly. Still, he believes those experiences have contributed to his strength.
“I have faced a lot of challenges but I don’t know how to speak up but those challenges are why I’m strong. It hasn’t been easy for me. I see my challenges as a story to tell.”
Rather than viewing those difficulties simply as setbacks, Levixone sees them as part of his journey — experiences that can eventually become part of the testimony behind his music.
His message to fellow gospel artists is therefore straightforward: conflicts may come with the territory, but the bigger challenge is staying committed to the purpose that brought them into ministry in the first place.
