Ugandan singer Kapa Cat has praised Spice Diana as an inspiration in her music career while making it clear that the two are not friends, revealing that she admires the singer’s success but does not always agree with her musical choices.
Speaking to Galaxy TV, Kapa Cat described Spice Diana as one of the most helpful artists in Uganda’s music industry, recalling the kindness she received from her when she was still finding her footing in the business.
Despite not sharing a friendship, Kapa Cat said Spice Diana’s journey has motivated her to work towards achieving similar recognition.

“Her journey inspires me and I want to get where she is one day, to reach her status,” Kapa Cat said.
She also praised the achievements of Spice Diana and fellow singer Sheebah Karungi, making it clear that their careers represent a level of success she hopes to attain.
However, Kapa Cat’s admiration does not mean she agrees with everything Spice Diana does musically.
The singer singled out Spice Diana’s dancehall music as an area where their tastes differ, explaining that she does not particularly enjoy it when her fellow artist ventures into the genre.
“What her and Sheebah have achieved impress me a lot and I really love her but I don’t like it whenever she does dancehall,” she said.
Her comments offer a distinction between respecting another artist’s career and agreeing with every creative decision they make. Kapa Cat acknowledged Spice Diana’s influence and past kindness while remaining candid about her musical preferences.

The singer also maintained that she has no personal issues with anyone in the entertainment industry, including Spice Diana. She said she is comfortable expressing her views on particular matters regardless of her relationship with the people involved.
Kapa Cat’s remarks therefore do not suggest a feud between the two musicians. Instead, she presented Spice Diana as someone whose professional journey she admires, even though they are not close personally and do not necessarily share the same musical preferences.
For Kapa Cat, Spice Diana’s success remains a source of motivation, while her criticism of the dancehall direction reflects her own taste rather than a stated personal dispute.
