Salongo Siraje’s second and final show at Lugogo Cricket Oval was disrupted by a series of stage interruptions, with Mariam Mulinde, Makufulu Boss and Fik Gaza caught up in moments that raised questions about performer coordination.
The incidents unfolded during the concert as artists took turns on stage, with some performances reportedly cut short when other musicians were invited or stepped in to entertain the crowd.
The first interruption involved veteran singer Mariam Mulinde. According to the account of the event, MC Lwasa, who hails from Nsambya, invited her to perform while Siraje stepped away briefly for a breather.
Mulinde walked onto the stage as her popular song Okwagala Okutuufu played in the background. But before she could continue with her performance, another MC called on rising ghetto artist Makufulu Boss, known for his song Simple Robbery.

Makufulu Boss and his crew reportedly took over the stage, leaving Mulinde to head to the DJ’s booth to retrieve her flash drive before making way for the younger performer.
The abrupt change reportedly frustrated some concertgoers, who called for greater respect among musicians and urged performers to allow their colleagues to complete their sets.
But Mulinde was not the only artist whose time on stage was interrupted.
Minutes later, Makufulu Boss reportedly experienced a similar incident as the DJ began playing the introduction to Simple Robbery. Fellow singer Fik Gaza then stepped onto the stage, cutting short Makufulu Boss’ performance and taking over the microphone.
Fik Gaza went on to entertain the audience with several of his popular songs, including Banana, Muziki, Sanyu Sanyu and Bukutu.
The sequence of events turned the spotlight away from the music and toward how performers were being managed. The interruptions also raised questions about the coordination between the event’s MCs, DJs and artists.

Mulinde’s experience in Uganda’s music industry added another dimension to the incident, although she had not publicly commented on the reported interruption by press time.
Despite the disruptions, Siraje’s concert reportedly attracted a larger audience than his previous show at the venue. The event continued, and the singer eventually returned to the stage as the concert proceeded toward its conclusion.
Siraje reportedly went home pleased after performing for his fans, even as the interruptions involving Mulinde, Makufulu Boss and Fik Gaza threatened to become one of the night’s biggest talking points.
The episode highlighted the importance of clear stage schedules and coordination at live music events, where an unexpected change of performer can quickly turn a concert moment into a source of controversy.
