Bell ObaFest 2026 has kicked off its nationwide regional activations, with Bell Lager bringing two days of music, games and entertainment to Gulu on October 9 and 10.
The Gulu activation marked the start of the build-up to the main Bell ObaFest celebration scheduled for November 7, with organisers using the regional events to bring the festival experience closer to audiences across Uganda.
The festivities opened on October 9 at Password Lounge, where revellers took part in video game matchups, card games, live painting and dance competitions. Guest MCs, including MC Uganda, kept the activities moving as the venue filled with entertainment.

Nigerian recording artist Deobi headlined the opening night, bringing Afrobeats sounds and an energetic stage performance to the Gulu crowd.
His set included All Over You, which emerged as a standout moment of the performance, drawing an enthusiastic response from the audience.
The celebrations continued on October 10 at Kweyo Village Shoppers, where local performers took over the stage for the second round of activities.
Regional acts Freeboy, Eezzy and Pato Lover Boy led the musical lineup, while DJs TING, Crystal, Meek 47 and Frisco handled the music throughout the event. MC Lucky hosted the proceedings, keeping the crowd engaged as the night unfolded.
The two-day activation combined live performances with interactive activities, reflecting Bell ObaFest’s wider focus on music, creative expression, food and shared social experiences.
Lillian Kansiime of Uganda Breweries Limited said the regional events were designed to bring consumers together around music, food and Bell Lager.
“Our goal with these activations is to celebrate the beers at the heart of these experiences by creating spaces where people can gather around great music, food, and a bell lager,” Kansiime said.
She added that the Gulu events reflected the scale and energy audiences could expect at the main festival on November 7.
Bell ObaFest is an annual cultural and beer festival that brings together music, entertainment and social experiences. The Gulu activation forms part of the lead-up to this year’s flagship celebration, with further regional stops expected before the main event.
The November 7 festival is set to be the culmination of the campaign, giving audiences another opportunity to experience the music and culture associated with Bell ObaFest.
