A new biography about Kim Kardashian has revisited her controversial 2018 trip to Uganda with then-husband Kanye West, making a startling allegation that a local police officer pointed a gun at the reality star’s head during the visit.
The account appears in Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, a biography by journalist Jonathan Van Meter, released on Tuesday, October 27. The book reportedly recounts an incident that unfolded while the production crew behind Keeping Up with the Kardashians was filming in a remote location in Uganda.
According to the book, Farnaz Farjam, an executive producer of the reality television series, recalled that tensions escalated after West allegedly became suspicious that people were attempting to drug him.

Farjam reportedly told Van Meter that West involved local police, who arrived with firearms and searched the rooms occupied by members of the production team.
“He basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him, and so they came and they had guns out. He had them raid everybody’s rooms,” Farjam reportedly said.
The situation allegedly became even more frightening when one of the officers pointed a gun at Kardashian’s head.
Farjam described the experience as “intense” and said she eventually arranged a private jet to remove the production crew from the location.
“I ended up having to get a private jet and get my crew out of there,” she added, according to the biography.
The account presents the incident as one of several moments that raised concerns about the state of Kardashian and West’s relationship during their October 2018 visit.
Van Meter reportedly writes that the experience contributed to Farjam’s realisation that the relationship between the former couple had reached a serious turning point, with the journalist describing that period as a point of no return.

The claims remain attributed accounts from the biography. The material provided does not include an independent police record, official confirmation from Ugandan authorities or a direct statement from Kardashian confirming that a gun was pointed at her head.
Kardashian and West travelled to Uganda in October 2018, when West also spoke publicly about his plans to work on music during the African visit. The trip attracted international attention at the time.
The new account adds another dramatic chapter to public discussions about the former couple’s relationship, but the alleged confrontation should be understood as a recollection published in Van Meter’s book rather than an independently established account of what happened.
