Ugandan music sensation Hassan Kigozi, professionally known as Geosteady, is giving fans an unfiltered look into his rehabilitation journey and the staggering costs involved.

In an emotional interview with Sanyuka TV, the “Owooma” hitmaker revealed the financial and personal challenges he faced while staying at Life Back Rehabilitation Center in Katale.

“I would spend 80k per day, which is 2.4m per month,” Geosteady admitted.

The daily fee covered accommodation, meals, and essential services, ensuring that patients receive proper care and supervision during their recovery.

Community Support Makes Recovery Possible

Geosteady expressed deep gratitude to Humphrey Nabimanya, the founder of Reach A Hand Uganda, who footed the bills during what he described as a critical phase in his life.

“Reach A Hand Uganda boss, Humphrey Nabimanya, was the one footing the expenses,” he said.

This act of generosity highlights the importance of community support in helping individuals overcome addiction and rebuild their lives.

Strict Security Ensures Safety and Recovery

The singer also shed light on the tight security measures at the facility, emphasizing that escaping rehab was not an option for anyone under care.

“I was at Life Back Rehab Center. It is in Katale. The 2.4m payment includes feeding, sleeping, and other staff. No one can escape from the facility because the security is tight,” Geosteady explained.

The strict oversight ensures that patients remain focused on recovery while reducing the risk of relapse during the rehabilitation process.

Shining a Light on the Cost of Recovery

Geosteady’s revelation underscores a harsh reality: rehabilitation can be expensive and emotionally challenging, even for high-profile figures. With costs like Shs 2.4 million per month, the financial burden alone can deter many from seeking help.

By openly discussing his journey, Geosteady not only normalizes the conversation around rehab in Uganda but also inspires fans struggling with similar challenges to seek professional assistance.

Recovery Is a Community Effort

The story also illustrates how community involvement—whether through NGOs, friends, or mentors—can make an enormous difference. Without support from organizations like Reach A Hand Uganda, Geosteady’s path to recovery might have been far more difficult.

Through his honesty, the singer is encouraging others to value their health, accept help, and take rehab seriously, sending a strong message about perseverance, gratitude, and resilience.
