Uganda’s entertainment world has been rocked by tragedy following the shocking death of Top Dancer, who reportedly succumbed to injuries after an alleged assault by members of Alien Skin’s gang.
While the Fangone Forest boss has denied any involvement and even hinted at quitting music over the backlash, fellow artist Kalifah AgaNaga isn’t staying silent. The singer has come forward with strong words, demanding accountability and justice — and his message is sparking intense debate across the industry.
Kalifah Speaks Out: “This Is Bigger Than Rivalry”
In an emotional statement, Kalifah made it clear that this is not about personal beef or competition. Instead, he believes the issue at hand is violence in the music industry — and how unchecked fan groups and gangs are putting lives at risk.
“People are on tenterhooks, even myself, because I’m receiving so many threats from his fans for speaking out about the dancer’s death,” Kalifah revealed.
He went further, questioning Alien Skin’s claims that fellow artists are simply “jealous” of his rise:
“Alien Skin says we are jealous, but what’s there to be jealous about? What does he sing that’s so special? How many buildings does he own in Kampala?”

The Allegations Against Alien Skin
According to reports, Top Dancer was allegedly beaten by Alien Skin’s associates after an altercation that escalated beyond control. The young entertainer later died at Mulago Hospital, leaving fans heartbroken and sparking widespread calls for justice.
Alien Skin, however, has distanced himself from the allegations. The artist has instead pointed to what he calls a coordinated campaign of “disrespect” and attacks from fellow musicians, insisting he’s being unfairly targeted.
But for Kalifah, the issue goes far beyond accusations and counter-accusations.
“Uganda Is Bigger Than All of Us”
Kalifah is urging Alien Skin to take responsibility for the culture surrounding his name, even if he claims no direct involvement.
“It’s time to stop the gang violence and learn how to coexist even when we disagree because Uganda is bigger than all of us,” he emphasized.
The artist also called on Alien Skin to speak directly to his fans and crew, urging them to reflect, acknowledge their mistakes, and offer apologies where needed.
“What we want is for him to talk to his gang and supporters. Let them realise their mistakes, apologise, and then we shall leave them alone.”
Fans React: Fear, Anger, and Division
Social media is flooded with emotional reactions to both the tragedy and Kalifah’s statement.
- Some fans praised him for having the courage to speak up despite threats.
- Others accused him of using the tragedy for clout, echoing Alien Skin’s claims of “jealousy.”
- A large section of fans expressed fear about the growing link between music and gang culture in Uganda, warning that if nothing changes, more lives could be lost.
One fan tweeted: “We love the music, but this violence is tearing the industry apart. Enough is enough.”
Violence and Uganda’s Music Scene
Sadly, this is not the first time Ugandan music has been entangled with violence. Over the years, several artists have faced accusations of using their influence to encourage aggressive fan behavior or gang-like activity.
Industry insiders warn that this trend could damage Uganda’s reputation internationally, making it harder for artists to secure collaborations, bookings, and endorsements abroad.
Alien Skin’s Next Move
With Alien Skin hinting at quitting music and tensions at an all-time high, fans and industry players are now watching closely to see what steps he will take.
- Will he address the allegations directly in a press conference?
- Could he disband or discipline members of his crew?
- Or will he retreat from the spotlight altogether?
For now, the silence has only fueled speculation.
