Popular Ugandan singer Lydia Jazmine has revealed she’s not yet ready to settle down or start a family, despite her deep love for children. In an intimate interview with Spark TV, the songstress opened up about why she’s choosing to focus on her career for now and trusting God’s timing for marriage and parenthood.

“Not Now! God Plans the Best for Us”

Lydia Jazmine emphasized that her faith guides her decisions when it comes to family life.

“Not now! God always plans the best for us; that’s what I always tell you. You could want the marriage this year, and it doesn’t happen. I could say I don’t like it, and it surprisingly happens. God knows best,” she explained.

The singer insists that her timing must align with her readiness to fully commit to family life, and that rushing into marriage or children would not be fair to herself or her future family.

Balancing Music and Family

Lydia revealed that starting a family would require careful planning and possibly pausing her music career for two years.

“I just haven’t settled on marriage yet, but I want kids and a family, and everyone knows that. When the time comes, without any pressure, it will happen. I have to want it in that moment and know that I will be very available for my family,” she said.

A Love for Children

Despite not being ready yet, Lydia Jazmine expressed her love for children and her desire to be a present and hands-on parent in the future.

“I might even have to pause the music for two years when that time comes because I love being present for kids. That’s why I am giving it time,” she added.
