Singer-turned-politician Nina Roz has revealed that her foray into politics has been heavily supported by fellow musicians, all without spending money on external help.

Roz was officially nominated to contest for the Sembabule Woman Member of Parliament seat under the National Unity Platform (NUP) banner. She credits the backing of her colleagues in the music industry as a key factor in smoothing her transition into politics.

“My campaign isn’t about splashing cash. I can’t even quantify how much I’ve invested so far, but what I can say is I’ve given it my time, and time is priceless,” she explained.

A People-Driven Campaign

The singer emphasized that her political journey is driven by the people, not money. Roz said she has been able to rely on grassroots support and the goodwill of fellow artists rather than expensive publicity strategies.

“I’ve received overwhelming support from fellow musicians, and no one has asked for payment. It’s been inspiring,” she said.

Balancing Music and Politics

Despite the demands of a busy campaign schedule, Nina Roz says she hasn’t abandoned her musical career, making sure to stay connected with her fans and continue creating music.

“I remain focused on my mission to serve my people, but music will always be a part of who I am,” she noted.

Looking Ahead

Roz’s people-centered approach sets her apart in the political scene, showing that commitment, passion, and community support can be just as powerful as financial investment.

“Time and effort mean more than money. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and I look forward to continuing this journey,” she concluded.
