Ugandan music producer Abdul Karim Muchwa, popularly known as Producer Didi, has shared a surprising story about singer Geosteady during his time at a rehabilitation facility.
Speaking in a recent interview, Didi revealed that when Geosteady first checked into rehab in 2024, he was determined not to stay and immediately asked for a pen and paper to draw a “prison break” plan.
“When Geosteady had just checked into the rehab facility and spotted me, he asked me for a pen and a sheet of paper to draw a prison break plan to escape. He didn’t want to stay in rehab,” Didi recounted.
The incident highlights just how resistant Geosteady was to treatment during his initial visit, despite the facility being designed to provide him with the support he needed.

🏥 Second Visit Brings Change
Didi explained that by Geosteady’s second visit, the singer had accepted the process and was more cooperative.
“On the second visit, he was okay and calm with whatever he was being told,” Didi said, emphasizing that the singer finally understood the importance of getting help to address his challenges.
The producer also stressed how difficult it is to escape from rehab. Even if someone attempts to leave, authorities are trained to track and return patients to the facility, making it nearly impossible to get away.
🎶 A Lesson in Recovery
Didi’s story sheds light on the reality of rehab for high-profile celebrities in Uganda, where accepting help can be a major hurdle. Geosteady’s initial reluctance mirrors the struggles many face when confronting addiction and personal challenges, but his eventual compliance demonstrates growth and awareness.
Fans have reacted with surprise and amusement, noting that while Geosteady might have jokingly planned an escape, the experience ultimately helped him focus on recovery and self-care.
