Rising Ugandan singer Nashim Namwanje, popularly known as Sheem Mwanje, has officially announced her departure from Zhafar Music Agency after eight months with the label.

Sheem Mwanje joined Zhafar in April 2025, alongside other artists such as Dokta Brain, Beenie Gunter, and Vicky Banx, with hopes of igniting her music career and achieving a breakthrough in the competitive industry.

Reflecting on Her Time at Zhafar

Despite releasing several songs during her stint at Zhafar, Sheem Mwanje admits that she hasn’t yet achieved the major career breakthrough she envisioned. Nevertheless, she expressed gratitude to the label for their support and effort in helping her grow as an artist.

“It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that I announce my decision to part ways with Zhafar Music Agency. This journey has been filled with immense challenge and unparalleled triumph. I am forever grateful for the experiences, lessons, and memories I’ve accumulated during my time with the agency,” Sheem Mwanje said in a heartfelt statement.

She acknowledged the dedication of the Zhafar team, noting that their belief in her talent has not gone unnoticed. She wished the agency continued success in the future.

Sheem Mwanje also took a moment to thank her fans, recognizing them as a key source of motivation throughout her journey.

Her message conveys both sadness at leaving and optimism for what lies ahead, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in her music career.
