Renowned singer Spice Diana has often expressed her support for Bobi Wine and his political movement, but fans may have noticed she isn’t a regular at his NUP rallies.
The Source Management artist revealed that her absence isn’t due to lack of support, but rather scheduling conflicts and careful consideration of performance commitments.
Balancing Music and Politics
Spice Diana explained that she has performed at a few political events in the past, but her music performance schedule often clashes with rally dates, limiting her availability.
“That’s why you don’t see me in many of those political rallies. My performance schedule also often conflicts with these rallies. I would perform if the time is there and if the terms and conditions match,” she said.
She emphasized that artists must carefully consider any political engagement, including the purpose of the campaign and the conditions attached before agreeing to perform.
“You have to make that decision together with your management. Before deciding to perform at campaigns, you must understand their core purpose and where they are to take place, and then the management takes the final call,” she added.
Open to Performing for Politicians
Spice Diana did not rule out performing for any political figure in the future. Her priority is to ensure alignment with her schedule and professional terms, allowing her to maintain both her musical and personal commitments.
“I would perform if the time is there and if the terms and conditions match,” she reiterated.

Fans Appreciate Transparency
Fans and industry watchers have praised her honest approach, noting that it highlights the professional considerations musicians must weigh when engaging in political events.
“She’s showing that supporting a cause doesn’t mean you compromise your career,” one fan wrote online.
