Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur Bad Black, born Shanitah Namuyimbwa, has announced a change of venue for her upcoming Beauty Beyond The Scars event after interest from attendees exceeded initial expectations.
Originally scheduled to take place at Kabira Country Club, the event will now be hosted at Protea Hotel Kampala Skyz in Naguru.
According to Bad Black, the move was made to accommodate a significantly larger audience, with organizers now expecting more than 1,000 women to attend.
The event is set to bring together women from different backgrounds for a day centered on healing, empowerment, and personal growth.
Why the venue changed
Speaking about the decision, Bad Black said the growing number of expected attendees made it necessary to secure a larger venue.
“We’ve changed the location to Protea Hotel Kampala Skyz, Naguru, due to the growing number of expected attendees. Skyz will accommodate more than 1,000 women.”
The event, themed Beauty Beyond The Scars, is designed as an all-female gathering focused on healing, restoration, and empowerment.
Organizers say the programme will create a space where women can openly share experiences, inspire one another, and build meaningful connections.
A star-studded lineup expected
Beauty Beyond The Scars is expected to feature an impressive lineup of female artists, media personalities, public figures, and other influential women.
The panel discussions will focus on sharing personal stories of resilience, overcoming challenges, and empowering women from all walks of life.
According to the organizers, the conversations are intended to encourage sisterhood while providing practical inspiration to attendees.
Although the full list of speakers has not yet been announced, the event is expected to attract some of Uganda’s most recognizable female personalities.

Bad Black has increasingly used her platform to speak about personal transformation, resilience, and women’s empowerment.
The Beauty Beyond The Scars event reflects that focus by creating a forum where women can engage in conversations about healing, confidence, and overcoming life’s challenges.
The relocation to a larger venue suggests growing public interest ahead of the September gathering.
Why It Matters
Women’s empowerment events continue to attract strong participation across Uganda, offering spaces for networking, mentorship, and personal development.
By bringing together influential women from entertainment, media, and other sectors, Beauty Beyond The Scars aims to encourage open conversations around resilience and self-growth.
The venue change also signals increasing demand, with organizers expecting one of the event’s largest audiences yet.
For many women, events like Beauty Beyond The Scars offer more than motivational speeches—they provide an opportunity to connect with others who have faced similar experiences and to leave feeling inspired.
Bad Black says the decision to move to a larger venue is intended to ensure that more women can be part of that experience.
With a bigger venue secured and anticipation continuing to grow, Beauty Beyond The Scars is shaping up to be one of Kampala’s notable women’s empowerment events this September.
