Former city tycoon Bryan White has threatened to sue Bukedde, accusing the media house of publishing false information about him and unfairly covering his ongoing court case.
During a telephone conversation with Bukedde TV entertainment presenter Simo Omunene, Bryan White expressed anger over the station’s reporting, alleging that it had repeatedly spread malicious information about him while he was dealing with legal and health challenges.
“Bukedde, I’ll sue you. You’ve disrespected me for a long time. I’m in hospital and you’re still spreading falsehoods. I have kept quiet for long, and your boss Don Wanyama collaborates with those fighting me,” he said.
His threat comes amid reports about his difficulty raising the cash bail required for his release from prison. On September 4, the High Court granted him cash bail of Shs 10 million, but he reportedly remained in prison while efforts were made to secure the money.

Bryan White has challenged the way his situation has been presented in the media, describing the coverage as a smear campaign. His accusations against Bukedde and its leadership remain his claims; the supplied account does not establish that the alleged false reporting or collaboration occurred.
He also urged the media to leave him alone, arguing that he deserved to be treated fairly rather than subjected to publicity he considers damaging.
“If you can’t appreciate what I did, then leave me alone. Come and check at Medipal and see for yourself if I’m not at the hospital. I’m very disappointed with you,” he added.
The comments bring renewed attention to the media coverage surrounding Bryan White’s legal troubles. His criticism centres on what he says is inaccurate reporting, while his threat raises the possibility of a legal dispute between him and the media house.
However, it remains unclear whether Bryan White has formally instructed lawyers to file a case against Bukedde. The information provided also does not include a response from Bukedde, Simo Omunene or Don Wanyama to his allegations.
For now, the former tycoon has made his position clear: he believes the reporting about him has crossed a line and says he is prepared to pursue legal action. Whether that threat develops into a formal lawsuit remains unconfirmed.
