DJ Nimrod has offered an unusually blunt explanation for why he keeps his friendships with women within certain boundaries, saying he believes sexual attraction could eventually complicate those relationships.

Speaking to a YouTuber, the Ugandan DJ explained that his circle of friends is intentionally small. He suggested that some women remain his friends partly because he has not pursued a sexual relationship with them.
Nimrod put it rather bluntly.
“You are my bestie because you haven’t been eaten yet. I have female friends but they are my friends because I haven’t eaten them but I can eat them anytime.”
The comment reflects Nimrod’s view that friendship between men and women can become complicated when sexual attraction enters the equation.
He also discussed the scenario of two close friends of the opposite sex travelling together and even sharing a bed without anything sexual happening.

Using a hypothetical trip to Jinja, Nimrod said the absence of intimacy on one occasion would not necessarily mean the same situation would play out every time.
“The only reason why we would sleep in the same bed and nothing happens would probably be because, one; nothing was meant to happen. Two, I restrained myself, three, I’m buying your trust,” he said.
For Nimrod, restraint and trust appear to be important parts of maintaining such friendships. His comments suggest that he does not necessarily view physical proximity between male and female friends as proof that attraction can never become an issue.
Instead, he appears to approach those friendships with an awareness that circumstances and attraction can potentially change.
Nimrod’s comments have now put his personal philosophy on male-female friendships into the spotlight, particularly his belief that keeping certain boundaries can help preserve relationships that might otherwise become complicated.
