Doreen Nasasira has made her relationship priorities clear: financial stability comes first, and love can follow later.
The renowned media personality has revealed that she is no longer willing to date a man who earns significantly less than her or is struggling financially, saying a previous relationship left her suffering.
Nasasira explained that the experience was enough to convince her not to put herself through the same situation again.
“No, I can’t date a guy who earns less than me. Once I dated someone who was financially struggling and I really suffered. So don’t take me back to that situation. I will never do it.”
Her stance goes beyond simply wanting a financially stable partner. Nasasira questioned why men who are not financially prepared should rush into relationships, advising them to focus on improving their finances first.
“If you don’t have money, why are you dating someone’s daughter? First get money and then date. If you know you have less money, don’t date me.”
Nasasira was equally blunt about the role love currently plays in her own dating decisions.

She admitted that she is no longer dating primarily for romantic feelings, saying financial security has become her priority.
“Me, I won’t date for love. These days I date for money. Money first, love will come later. That’s me and that’s how feelings are triggered. Money first and love follows.”
Her comments are likely to fuel debate over the role of money, compatibility and financial expectations in modern relationships.

Nasasira, however, appears unapologetic about her position, grounding it in her own experience rather than presenting it as a universal rule.
For her, the lesson from a previous relationship is straightforward: she would rather establish financial security from the beginning than repeat an experience she says caused her significant hardship.
