Ugandan musician Lil Pazo Lunabe, real name Yasin Mukasa, has urged young people to resist the pressure to buy expensive cars before achieving other major financial goals such as building a home.
The singer questioned the logic of spending tens of millions of shillings on a luxury vehicle while still renting, saying he would prioritize constructing his own house before purchasing an expensive car.
Lil Pazo made the remarks while addressing claims that he had previously bought a luxurious Brabus vehicle.

The musician denied ever owning a Brabus, despite appearing in an older video in which it was claimed that he had purchased one.
“I have never owned a Brabus,” Lil Pazo said.
He went on to explain that his personal financial priorities would not allow him to spend heavily on a vehicle before accomplishing his other goals.
“I cannot buy a Brabus before building my house. I cannot buy any car above Shs60m before accomplishing my goals,” he said.
Lil Pazo also questioned the benefit of owning a Shs100 million vehicle while continuing to live in a rented home.
“What do I need a Shs100m car for? While still renting? Why?” he asked.
His comments are particularly notable because they contrast with the message of his breakout hit, “Genda Ogule Emotoka,” a song that encouraged listeners to own cars and enjoy their comfort while they are still alive.
While his earlier music celebrated the appeal of owning a car, Lil Pazo now says his own priorities have shifted toward long-term goals and financial stability.

The singer also encouraged young people not to make major purchases simply because they feel pressured to keep up with others.
For Lil Pazo, the priority is clear: build the house first, then consider spending more heavily on a luxury vehicle.
His position comes down to a simple question he posed to young people: why spend Shs100 million on a car while still paying rent?
