Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone has revealed that he is officially dating again, saying he currently has a new woman in his life.
The Leone Island boss made the revelation during a TikTok Live, where he spoke about his relationship status following his separation from his former wife, Daniella Atim.
Chameleone said that while he was still married, he felt restricted because people around him would report his movements and activities to Daniella.
“When I was still married, people kept threatening me that they would report me to Maama Abba all the time. I’m glad I survived such tension.”
The singer said the situation made him feel as though his actions were constantly being monitored.
Now that he and Daniella are separated, Chameleone said he feels free to live his life more openly.
“I’m dating. I’m officially enjoying my life. It is not a bad thing, especially for a well-functioning man like me. I’m seeing someone and I cannot deny it,” he said.
Chameleone did not identify the woman he is currently seeing, leaving her identity undisclosed for now.
The singer also had words of appreciation for Daniella, acknowledging the role she played in his life and family.
Chameleone praised his former wife for giving him a family and for staying with him for 16 years through the difficult periods of his career.
However, he said he believes it is now time to move forward with his life.
At 48, Chameleone also made it clear that he considers himself capable of entering a new relationship and enjoying another chapter of his personal life.
His revelation comes shortly after he shared photos of a mystery woman on social media, fueling speculation about his relationship status. According to the report, Chameleone restricted comments on the posts, apparently limiting the discussion around the woman.
For now, the singer has confirmed the key detail himself: he is dating, and there is a new woman in his life. Her identity, however, remains a mystery.
