Ugandan music star Jose Chameleone has promised fans a different kind of concert experience at his upcoming Legend Unlimited show, saying the December event will combine the scale of his previous performances with a greater focus on quality.
The Leone Island boss officially launched the concert during a press conference at Lugogo Cricket Oval on Monday. The event attracted several musicians, including his brother Weasel Manizo, Spice Diana, Lil Pazo and Melody.
One of the day’s biggest talking points was Chameleone’s arrival by helicopter, accompanied by Weasel, adding spectacle to the launch of the highly anticipated show.
Addressing fans and members of the media, the singer expressed appreciation for the support he has received and urged his followers to turn up in large numbers on December 4.
Chameleone said his previous concerts had often featured more than 30 songs, but he intends to offer something different this time without abandoning the extensive performances his fans have come to expect.
“I promise that this will be very different. I have been giving you concerts every day but this particular event will be very unique,” he said.
“I have been giving you only quantity; with over 30 songs. This time, however, it will both be quality and quantity.”

The singer also encouraged fans to spread the word about the concert, although he delivered a pointed message to people who do not support his music.
“Those who do not support me shouldn’t show up,” he said.
Jose Chameleone Responds to Social Media Critics
Beyond promoting the concert, Chameleone addressed criticism directed at him on social media, arguing that his international music career also represents Uganda.
The singer said critics should look beyond his personal identity and consider how his performances and achievements contribute to the country’s profile abroad.
“All the haters should know that criticizing me on social media should know that they are attacking their country,” he said.
He added that audiences outside Uganda associate him with his home country whenever he performs internationally.
“Stop seeing me as Jose Chameleone and see me as someone representing Uganda because if I go out there, they see me as Chameleone from Uganda,” he said.
His remarks framed the online criticism as an issue extending beyond his individual career, although he did not identify specific critics or incidents during the press conference.
Legend Unlimited Concert Set for December 4
The concert is being organised by Biggie Events, which called on Ugandans to attend the show and described it as a celebration of Chameleone’s legacy in the country’s music industry.
The December 4 event is expected to bring together fans of the veteran singer, whose catalogue has helped establish him as a prominent figure in Ugandan music.
With Chameleone promising both an extensive setlist and a stronger emphasis on quality, the concert launch has set expectations for a major celebration of his career.
