Talent manager Geoffrey Kayemba Solo has dismissed reports that he quit Rema Namakula’s management team, clarifying that he remains involved in the singer’s career even though he no longer handles her day-to-day operations.
Kayemba addressed the speculation by explaining that artiste management involves several departments, with different people responsible for different aspects of an artist’s professional affairs.
“I’ve also heard the rumours, but as you know, management always has different arms, and I agree that I still work with her. However, there is a dude called Raymond Kiseka who handles her day-to-day operations,” Kayemba said.
His comments draw a distinction between stepping away from daily responsibilities and leaving an artiste’s management team altogether. According to Kayemba, he continues to work with Rema, while Kiseka oversees her routine professional activities.

The clarification offers a different picture from reports suggesting that Kayemba had completely exited the Siri Muyembe singer’s management structure. His statement does not indicate that he has severed ties with Rema or provide details of any broader changes within her team.
Raymond Kiseka’s role, as described by Kayemba, centres on the day-to-day running of Rema’s professional affairs. However, Kayemba did not specify how their responsibilities are divided beyond that arrangement.
The development also highlights how management structures can operate behind the scenes in Uganda’s music industry, where an artiste’s career may involve several people handling different responsibilities rather than one manager overseeing every activity.
Kayemba brings considerable experience to the industry. Since the early 2000s, he has worked with several Ugandan musicians, including Chris Evans Kaweesi, David Lutalo and Mesach Semakula.
His professional experience also extends beyond music. Kayemba has worked as a player agent in football, adding another dimension to his career in talent representation and management.
For now, Kayemba’s position is clear: he says he is still part of Rema Namakula’s management team, even as Kiseka takes charge of her daily operations. His clarification suggests that the reported departure may have confused a change in responsibilities with a complete exit from the singer’s team.
