Ugandan singer Ava Peace has dismissed suggestions that she has a personal problem with Sheebah Karungi, insisting that she respects the established star and would welcome an opportunity to collaborate with her musically.
Speaking in an interview with Frank Ntambi, the Team No Sleep singer said Sheebah had treated her well whenever they met, arguing that the narrative of tension between them has largely been fuelled by fans rather than any personal disagreement.
Ava also said she wanted the perception that she disrespects Sheebah to end, explaining that she has consistently spoken positively about the singer.

“I love her, and I’ve always said that I respect her,” Ava said.
She added that disrespecting Sheebah would also be inappropriate given the history between the singer and Ava’s management, which previously worked with the former Team No Sleep star.
“If I did not respect her, that would be disrespectful to my management too, because they have worked together before, achieved big things, and remained on top for many years,” she explained.
But Ava’s strongest evidence of their cordial relationship came from a memory dating back to her earlier days in music, when she was preparing to perform at Comedy Store.
According to Ava, Sheebah invited her into her car before the performance, offered her advice and shared a drink with her from a bottle Ava described as shiny.
She recalled that Sheebah was already a major name at the time, while she had only released her song Shabada.
The gesture left an impression on Ava, who remembered the encounter as an example of the respect and kindness she experienced from the established singer.
Ava also recalled meeting Sheebah at her home while she was still working with Mudra. She said Sheebah did not mistreat her during that encounter either, further reinforcing her view that their supposed differences do not reflect her personal experiences.

Instead, Ava believes the speculation may be connected to her professional association with the management that previously worked with Sheebah.
“I think people don’t like the fact that I work with the management she was once under,” she said.
The singer urged fans to support both artists rather than encourage rivalry or undermine the possibility of them working together.
“They should just support us both and not sabotage my collaboration with her because I know it will also happen,” Ava said.
Her comments come amid online discussions about a supposed rift between the singers’ fan bases. However, Ava’s account does not establish that Sheebah shares the alleged concerns, and she said she believes the older singer has no personal issue with her.
For Ava Peace, the message is straightforward: fan rivalries should not stand in the way of mutual respect—or a potential collaboration between two Ugandan music stars.
