Kyengera Town Council Mayor and Busiro East MP aspirant, Sir Mathias Walukagga, has publicly distanced himself from a fake X (formerly Twitter) account that has been circulating online.
The popular Kadongo Kamu singer-turned-politician condemned the impersonation, suggesting the account was part of a political smear campaign aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
“I condemn and deny the allegations. I am not on X (Twitter). The person who made those claims, I think, was just playing politics or trying to tarnish my name to make people think I am the one,” Walukagga stated.
Walukagga Only Uses Facebook, TikTok & WhatsApp
Clarifying his online presence, Walukagga confirmed that he only uses Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp, and does not maintain an account on X.
“I’m only on three social media platforms: Facebook, WhatsApp, and TikTok. The rest of what I use my phone for is sending and receiving mobile money, and making phone calls,” he added.
This statement aims to protect his image while drawing attention to the growing problem of online impersonation, especially in politically charged environments.

Police Investigation Underway
Taking the matter seriously, Walukagga has filed a police case at Nsangi Police Station, expressing confidence that authorities are investigating the impersonation.
“I even opened a Police file at Nsangi Police Station, and I am very sure the Police have started investigations,” he confirmed.
By involving law enforcement, the Mayor-turned-MP aspirant demonstrates a zero-tolerance approach to online impersonation, signaling that political attacks via fake accounts will not be ignored.
Why This Matters
The fake X account highlights a broader issue of social media misuse in politics, where impersonation can mislead the public and manipulate narratives.
For politicians like Walukagga, clarifying one’s official accounts is crucial to protect credibility and maintain trust with constituents.
Final Thoughts
Sir Mathias Walukagga’s swift response sends a clear message: impersonation and online political sabotage won’t be tolerated. Fans and followers are now urged to report suspicious accounts and rely only on his verified platforms.
