Police in Kampala have opened a full-scale investigation into the shocking death of 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama, the girlfriend of flamboyant city socialite Bryan Kirumira, widely known as Bryan White.
Authorities confirmed that Nalubwama died after allegedly sustaining serious injuries under unclear circumstances while at Bryan White’s residence in Kyamula, Makindye Division.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident occurred late in the night, prompting an emergency response that ended tragically at Kiruddu Hospital, where Nalubwama was pronounced dead on arrival.

“The territorial police at Katwe are actively investigating the circumstances under which one Nalubwama, aged 25, allegedly sustained serious injuries resulting in her death,” Owoyesigyire stated.
He added that detectives led by the Division Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) officer immediately visited the scene to document evidence, collect forensic samples, and recover exhibits that could help determine what transpired inside Bryan White’s home.
“Preliminary information indicates that the deceased was reportedly at the home of Bryan White when the incident occurred,” he added.
Scene Processed, Body Taken for Post-Mortem
Following the incident, police transferred Nalubwama’s body to the City Mortuary in Mulago for a post-mortem examination to establish the actual cause of death.
Authorities are now working closely with medical examiners and crime scene analysts to piece together events leading to the fatal injuries.
“The body was conveyed to Mulago for post-mortem to determine the real cause of death,” Owoyesigyire confirmed.
Bryan White Also Injured and Under Treatment
In a twist to the tragedy, police revealed that Bryan White himself sustained injuries, believed to have resulted from a possible altercation on the night of the incident.
He is currently receiving medical treatment and has already recorded a statement with investigators to assist in the ongoing probe.
