The newly crowned Miss Uganda 2025/26, Elle Trivia Muhoza, has opened up about the former beauty queens who inspire her as she steps into the national spotlight.
Muhoza took over the crown from Natasha Nyonyozi on September 20th, 2025, and she says her inspiration comes from women who have left a lasting impact both locally and internationally.
“The one that stands out for me would be Quinn Abenakyo, because she was the first to make the country known internationally. She did amazing things,” Muhoza said.
Role Models Who Made History
Muhoza singled out several past queens for their notable contributions:
- Queen Bizzu – praised for initiating programs to get girl children into school, a cause that continues to influence the Miss Uganda Foundation.
- Queen Ella – admired for her eloquence and commanding presence, which Muhoza says left her in awe during boot camp.
- Hannah Karema – recognized for representing Uganda impressively at Miss World, leaving a lasting mark both internationally and at home.
“Also Queen Ella, because she’s so eloquent. The time she came to boot camp, I was awed and wanted to learn tips from her. She commands the room,” she added.
Respecting Her Predecessor
Muhoza also praised her immediate predecessor, Natasha Nyonyozi, highlighting her autism awareness initiatives.
“Natasha’s autism awareness project is amazing and impactful,” Muhoza noted, emphasizing the importance of continuing meaningful projects during her own reign.

Shaping the Future of Miss Uganda
With these inspirations in mind, Muhoza is poised to continue the legacy of former queens, combining social advocacy, international representation, and personal growth as she represents Uganda.
“I look up to these women because they’ve paved the way and shown that Miss Uganda is about more than just beauty — it’s about impact and leadership,” she said.
A Legacy of Empowerment
Through her words, Muhoza shows that the Miss Uganda crown is more than a title; it is a platform to drive social change, inspire the next generation, and uphold the values of past queens.
Fans and pageant enthusiasts have taken to social media to celebrate Muhoza’s acknowledgment of past queens, praising her for showing humility and vision as she embarks on her journey.
“Elle Trivia Muhoza truly understands what it means to be Miss Uganda. Respect to the women inspiring her!” one fan tweeted.
Looking Ahead
As Miss Uganda 2025/26, Muhoza plans to continue projects in education, advocacy, and national representation, aiming to leave her own lasting legacy while honoring the queens who came before her.
“I hope to inspire girls the way these queens inspired me. Their work sets a benchmark, and I intend to build on that,” she concluded.
