Western Ugandan musician Ray G (real name Muhairwe Reegan) is making a heartfelt plea to his fans: stop harassing fellow artist Omega 256 online.

The message came during Ray G’s recent concert at Kakyeeka Stadium, where Omega 256 made a surprise appearance to show support. The gesture marked a turning point in a rivalry that had quietly simmered for months in the Western Uganda music scene.

From Silent Feud to Mutual Support

Ray G and Omega 256 had previously engaged in a silent feud. Omega had notably snubbed Ray G’s Lugogo Cricket Oval concert, despite several other Western artists lending their support. The tension sparked online chatter, as fans debated supremacy in Western Uganda’s music scene.

However, the two musicians have now put their differences aside. Ray G made a surprise appearance at Omega’s maiden concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, and in a show of reciprocity, Omega attended his Kakyeeka Stadium performance.

“Despite whatever happened between us, I have moved past that and am ready to continue supporting her music,” Ray G said.

Ray G Steps In During Omega’s Performance

During the Kakyeeka Stadium concert, Omega 256 took the stage, and at one point, a deejay tried to mess with her sound. Ray G quickly intervened, walking over to ensure everything went smoothly. Omega completed her performance successfully, and the crowd applauded her professionalism.

After returning to the microphone, Ray G addressed his fans directly:

“I urge all of us to support Onega. She is one of our own and very talented. If someone makes a mistake, please forgive and forget all those social media rumours. Let us focus on promoting our own talent and keeping the fire in Nkore Music burning.”

Championing Local Talent

Ray G’s call to action wasn’t just about ending online harassment — he also encouraged fans to actively support Omega 256. He suggested she stage a concert in her home area, promising that people would come out in full force because of her talent.

“I would love to see her stage a concert at Kakaako soon. Let’s help promote our own talent,” he added.

His comments highlight a growing movement among Western Ugandan artists to unite, celebrate local music, and strengthen Nkore Music’s presence nationally.

Fans React: Support and Praise

Social media users quickly applauded Ray G for his maturity and leadership, noting that public figures can play a critical role in ending online harassment.

  • “Ray G is showing real leadership by backing Omega 256. Western Uganda music is thriving!”
  • “Forgive and forget, let’s lift our own talent. Amen!”

The exchange has sparked optimism that rivalries in Ugandan music can give way to collaboration and support.

Final Thoughts

Ray G’s appeal is more than a public gesture — it’s a call for unity and professionalism in Uganda’s music industry. By encouraging fans to forgive past mistakes and support local talent, he’s setting a strong example for artists and audiences alike.

As Western Uganda’s music scene continues to grow, the hope is that collaboration, not conflict, will become the norm, allowing artists like Ray G and Omega 256 to shine together.
