American fitness influencer Ashton Hall has revealed that his plans to visit Uganda during his African tour were disrupted by travel restrictions linked to Ebola concerns.
The 30-year-old fitness personality, known for his viral workout routines and disciplined lifestyle content, said he had hoped to include Uganda among his destinations but was unable to make the stop.
Ashton’s African tour officially began on 28th June 2026, taking him to several countries including Ghana, Rwanda, and Nigeria over a two-week period.
During the trip, he shared moments from his early morning workouts, local experiences, and interactions with people across the countries he visited.
His time in Rwanda also gained attention because of his connection with fellow fitness enthusiast Ashton Small, with the two influencers sharing content together.
However, Uganda — which was reportedly on his travel list — did not become part of the journey.
Ashton Hall Explains Missing Uganda Stop
While speaking during a livestream, Ashton Hall explained that traveling through Uganda could have affected his ability to leave Africa and return to the United States.
He said that a layover in Uganda could have resulted in him being required to remain on the continent for additional days because of health-related travel measures.
“If you go through Uganda and have a layover there, you can’t leave Africa, they send you back. If I hadn’t landed in Las Vegas, they’d send me back to Africa for 20 days. Because I guess there is an outbreak,” Ashton Hall said.
The influencer did not provide further details about the specific travel regulations he was referring to.
The comments came as countries and international travelers continue to follow health guidelines designed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
