Ugandan singer Catherine Kusasira has stirred debate with her views on marriage, telling women not to assume their husbands have stopped loving them simply because they pursue other women.
Kusasira argued that men may develop romantic interests in multiple women while continuing to love their wives. She urged women to give their partners freedom rather than allow their interest in other women to undermine their confidence.
In remarks shared by Spark TV, the singer also suggested that women should focus on their appearance, happiness and self-confidence instead of constantly worrying about potential romantic rivals.
“Men have the right to give birth as much as they want. When a man decides to love anyone he wishes, he cannot be stopped,” Kusasira said.

She added that a husband pursuing another woman does not necessarily mean he has stopped loving his wife, encouraging women to maintain their confidence regardless of their partners’ behaviour.
“No matter the number of women he holds in his heart, as long as you keep glowing, that’s all and enough,” she said.
Kusasira also spoke about the importance of personal presentation, arguing that looking good and maintaining a cheerful disposition can help women feel confident in their relationships.
“Their’s no woman that I fear. What I do is make sure that I’m good and nice-looking. Whenever you look good, a man can’t decide to dump you. You just have to make yourself jolly and happy,” she said.

Her comments place considerable emphasis on how women present themselves and maintain their happiness, even when their partners show interest in other people.
However, Kusasira’s remarks reflect her personal views on relationships rather than an established rule about how men behave or what makes a marriage last.
The singer further argued that men can pursue different women without necessarily developing lasting attachments to them. She suggested that a man’s continued desire for his wife or partner is more important than the number of other women who attract his attention.
“Men hit on many women and have a lot of love within them. But needing you is the most important thing. A man can hit on different women, but when he doesn’t need them.”
Kusasira’s advice raises questions about how couples define love, commitment and acceptable boundaries in marriage. While she encourages women to remain confident and happy, her comments also present a particular view of relationships in which a man’s interest in other women does not automatically signal that his feelings for his wife have changed.
The singer’s message is clear: she believes women should not measure their worth by the other women their partners pursue, but should continue investing in their own confidence and well-being.
