Former Sky Pins Tours and Travel director Christian Asiimwe, popularly known as Don Chris, has been arrested as Uganda Police investigate allegations of obtaining money by false pretences and fraudulent labour recruitment.
Police said Don Chris was arrested at about 2:00am on August 27, 2026, at a bar in Zana, Makindye-Ssabagabo Municipality, Wakiso District.

He is currently being detained at a Police station while investigations into the allegations continue.
According to Police, the allegations relate to money allegedly obtained from several individuals between 2022 and 2025 after claims that employment opportunities could be secured for them in countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, Qatar and Dubai.
The jobs allegedly advertised to the clients included positions such as waiters, cleaners and caregivers.
Police say the individuals who made payments did not receive the promised employment opportunities.

The scale of the investigation is also significant. Police say they have so far recorded statements from more than 500 alleged victims, with reported payments ranging from Shs5 million to Shs10 million depending on the destination and type of job sought.
The arrest puts the former travel company director at the centre of an ongoing investigation into alleged fraudulent labour recruitment.
Police identified the suspect as Asiimwe Christian, also known as Don Chris, and linked his arrest to allegations of obtaining money by false pretences and fraudulent labour recruitment.
The investigation is still ongoing, meaning the allegations have not yet been tested in court.
Police said Don Chris is expected to be taken to court once the investigations are completed.
For now, the case leaves investigators working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the reported payments and the employment opportunities allegedly promised to the individuals involved.
