Doreen Nasasira has made it clear that financial stability matters when it comes to choosing a romantic partner.
The radio presenter and podcaster says she draws the line at dating a man who is broke, explaining that financial struggles can influence how she views other aspects of a relationship.
“A man without money, I hate poverty. Even when you smile, it looks like you’re crying,” Doreen said.
Her comments make financial stability one of the factors she considers when deciding whether a relationship is worth pursuing.

But money is not the only issue on Doreen’s list.
The presenter says respect and personal boundaries are among her biggest non-negotiables, and she would not remain in a relationship with someone who repeatedly fails to respect either.
“My non-negotiables are one, respect. If someone doesn’t give me the respect that I deserve, that’s non-negotiable, and if that person doesn’t respect my personal boundaries, it’s off,” she explained.
For Doreen, those standards are not necessarily about what other people might consider major relationship problems. She says even issues that appear small to outsiders can carry significant weight for her.
That means respect, boundaries and financial stability can ultimately determine whether she chooses to continue pursuing a relationship.
Doreen’s comments offer a straightforward look at what she expects from a partner — and she appears unwilling to compromise on the things she considers fundamental.
