Fast-rising Ugandan musician Dynaso Wegoso is preparing to release his new album, Tomukuba Paver, on Friday, September 25, 2026, with the project drawing heavily from his personal journey through struggle, ambition and success.
Signed to Black Market Records, Wegoso presents Tomukuba Paver as more than a collection of songs. The album traces the experiences he says have shaped his rise, including sacrifice, obstacles, changing relationships and the pressure that comes with pursuing a bigger career.
At the heart of the project is a familiar question: what happens when someone starts with very little but refuses to stay there?
Wegoso explores that journey through six emotional stages — The Dream, The Journey, The Betrayal, The Loneliness, The Resilience and The Next Level.
The themes become particularly personal when he addresses how relationships can shift as an artist’s profile grows.
“When you are struggling, people may tell you they support you. But when the opportunity for success arrives, relationships can change,” Wegoso says.
“Friends become competitors. Support becomes jealousy. People who once stood beside you begin questioning your progress. And sometimes, the higher you climb, the fewer people you can trust,” he adds.
The album’s track list reflects those themes.
“Fake Friends” focuses on betrayal, jealousy and the complicated relationships that can accompany success, while “Lonely,” featuring Odi Wa Muranga, explores isolation, pressure and what Wegoso describes as the price of success.
Elsewhere, “The Road” centers on struggle, perseverance and the journey toward a bigger goal. “Badmind System” tackles negativity and opposition while emphasizing resilience.
Together, the songs frame Tomukuba Paver as a snapshot of Wegoso’s transformation from the streets and struggle toward the next stage of his career.
The album arrives after Wegoso’s earlier work around “Paver,” which was reworked following a ban by the Uganda Communications Commission, according to previously published reports.
Tomukuba Paver will be available on major music streaming platforms from September 25.
For Wegoso, the release is ultimately another step forward — turning the experiences behind his rise into a project built around the people, challenges and lessons he encountered along the way.
