Northern Uganda singer EeZzy says he is ready to take on one of Kampala’s biggest concert stages, insisting that headlining a show at the Lugogo Cricket Oval would be “a small thing” for him.
Speaking to Galaxy TV, EeZzy said he would be comfortable performing at the iconic Kampala venue even if a concert were organised the following day.
The singer’s confidence, he explained, comes from his belief in his ability to command a stage and entertain his audience regardless of the size of the venue. He suggested that he would not need an extended preparation period to handle such a performance.

For EeZzy, the ambition goes beyond simply staging a Kampala concert. He wants artists from Northern Uganda and other regions to have a stronger presence in Central Uganda’s entertainment scene.
He pointed to regional artists Ray G and Acidic Vokoz as examples of musicians who have moved beyond their home regions to stage concerts in Kampala.
EeZzy’s comments come as he positions himself for a wider audience after building his profile in Northern Uganda. A Kampala concert would represent another step in his push to expand his reach beyond the region.
But the singer also had something to say about another common part of Uganda’s music business: collaborations.
EeZzy rejected the practice of musicians paying other artists to appear on their songs, describing the arrangement as ridiculous. In his view, collaborations should be driven by mutual interest rather than a fee.

“As a star, if you don’t want to give someone, then just don’t do it. Why would you ask for money?” EeZzy said.
His position puts the focus on how artists value collaborations and opportunities within Uganda’s music industry. For now, though, EeZzy appears particularly interested in proving that a Kampala stage is within his reach.
And if his confidence is anything to go by, Lugogo Cricket Oval may not look quite as intimidating from EeZzy’s side of the stage.
