Ugandan singer Gloria Bugie has revealed that music collaborations with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz and Rwandan singer The Ben are in the pipeline, telling fans to expect results from her recent efforts.
Bugie made the announcement during a TikTok Live session on Monday night, days after attracting criticism over her attempt to get a photo opportunity with Diamond during a press conference.
Her interaction with the Tanzanian star sparked debate among some Ugandans, with critics accusing her of embarrassing the country. But Bugie has defended her approach, insisting that she understands what it takes to push her music career forward.
During the livestream, she suggested that her efforts to connect with established regional stars could lead to major musical projects.
“Wait for my collaboration with Diamond very soon, don’t argue with me. And for The Ben, also wait for it,” she said.
The singer also challenged those criticising her, arguing that artists should know how to use available platforms and opportunities to advance their careers.

“You say I embarrassed you, you and who? Stop giving yourselves importance,” she added.
Bugie maintained that introducing herself and seeking opportunities to connect with established musicians should not be viewed negatively. Instead, she presented her actions as part of the work required to grow her profile beyond Uganda.
Her comments come amid continued discussion about her attempt to approach Diamond Platnumz during his recent visit, with the singer making it clear that public criticism will not change her approach to pursuing international opportunities.
A collaboration with Diamond would potentially connect Bugie with one of East Africa’s most prominent music stars, while a project with The Ben would further strengthen her reach across the region.
However, although Bugie says both collaborations are coming, she has not disclosed release dates, song titles, producers or other details confirming when the projects will be completed.
For now, the singer is asking critics and fans alike to wait and see what comes out of her efforts.
