Ugandan singer King Saha has made an emotional promise to the family of late comedian Kapere Lufotose, pledging to complete the unfinished house the comedian left behind, regardless of whether other people contribute towards the project.
The Kings Love Entertainment singer made the commitment during a vigil held at the National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters, where friends, fellow entertainers and supporters gathered to mourn Kapere, whose real name was Yokana Mbuuse.
Addressing the comedian’s widow, King Saha assured her that he was determined to see the construction project completed, making it clear that he was prepared to take personal responsibility if necessary.

“Mama Trump, I promise you that Kapere’s house is going to be completed whether with contributions from others or not,” the singer declared.
The pledge offered a message of support to Kapere’s family during a difficult period, with the singer promising that the comedian’s unfinished dream would not be abandoned following his death.
King Saha also revealed that a friend identified as Michael had sent Shs200,000 from abroad as a condolence contribution to the bereaved family.
However, beyond the financial support and construction promise, the singer used the gathering to express his frustration over the loss of fellow entertainers.
He questioned why members of the entertainment industry continue to bury their colleagues without receiving clear explanations about what caused their deaths.
“I also have a friend of mine who sent me Shs200,000 cash called Michael. However, it is very bad that we keep burying our colleagues without knowing the cause of their death,” King Saha said.
His remarks came as questions continued surrounding Kapere’s passing.
Kapere’s widow recounts final moments

During the vigil, Kapere’s wife also shared details about the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death.
According to her account, the comedian breathed his last after receiving a telephone call from their landlord demanding rent.
She explained that the call reportedly left Kapere stressed. However, no confirmed medical explanation has been provided establishing the cause of his death.
The distinction is important, as the circumstances described by his wife do not independently establish the medical cause of death.
Kapere’s passing has left his family and colleagues mourning, while King Saha’s pledge has introduced another significant development in the comedian’s family’s journey following the loss.
For Kapere’s widow, the singer’s promise carries a practical commitment beyond the words of condolence: ensuring that the house her husband left unfinished eventually becomes a completed home.
