Levixone Reveals Why His Namboole Stadium Concert Dream Was Delayed
For years, Ugandan musicians have been proving their power by filling major venues, but one iconic stage remains untouched by a local star.
Mandela National Stadium, popularly known as Namboole Stadium, has become the ultimate concert dream in Uganda’s music industry.
Despite the rapid growth of Ugandan music and artists successfully hosting massive shows, no Ugandan musician has yet headlined and filled the legendary stadium for a standalone concert.
Now, gospel singer Levixone is opening up about his own attempt to make history — revealing that his Namboole dream was already in motion before circumstances changed everything.
The singer disclosed that he had secured the venue and made payments for his planned Kikibombe concert, but the stadium’s renovation works forced him to change direction.
The dream was delayed, but according to Levixone, it is far from over.

Levixone’s Namboole Dream Was Put On Hold
Speaking about his concert journey, Levixone explained that performing at Namboole remains one of the biggest goals he wants to achieve in his career.
The gospel star revealed that his team had initially planned to hold the Kikibombe concert at Namboole Stadium before the facility became unavailable due to renovations.
“In 2023, we went to Kololo Airstrip, but before Kololo, we announced the Kikibombe concert at Namboole Stadium,” Levixone explained.
“We had already paid our money there. We didn’t take it because we still have a dream to fill it up.”
The singer said the timing simply did not work out because the stadium was undergoing renovations when they wanted to use it.
“So we went to Kololo Airstrip in 2023,” he added.
But that’s not even the biggest part of the story…
Even after relocating the concert, Levixone says the ambition remains alive and he still believes the right moment will come.
The Stadium Challenge Every Ugandan Artist Wants to Conquer
Namboole Stadium has long represented the highest level of achievement for entertainers in Uganda.
Over the years, Ugandan artists have proven their ability to attract thousands of fans at venues such as Lugogo Cricket Oval and Millennium Grounds.
However, the challenge of successfully filling Namboole Stadium with a local headliner remains unsolved.
Artists including Bobi Wine and Levixone have publicly expressed interest in performing at the iconic venue.
Bobi Wine’s request to perform at the stadium was reportedly turned down in 2019, while Levixone’s plans were affected by the renovation period.
The question has continued to attract attention from music fans — who will become the first Ugandan musician to achieve the historic milestone?
From Kololo Airstrip to the Bigger Vision
Although the Kikibombe concert did not happen at Namboole, Levixone still managed to deliver a major event at Kololo Airstrip in 2023.
The relocation did not change his long-term goal.
For the singer, Namboole is not just another venue.
It represents growth, achievement, and a moment that would place an artist among Uganda’s biggest music success stories.
Levixone believes that the opportunity will come regardless of the timing.
His focus remains on building his career, connecting with fans, and eventually stepping onto the Namboole stage.
Fans Debate Who Will Make History First
The possibility of a Ugandan artist filling Namboole Stadium has sparked conversations among music lovers.
Fans immediately started debating which artist has the fanbase, influence, and performance power to make it happen.
The internet had thoughts, and they were not holding back…
Some believe established stars with decades of experience have the strongest chance, while others argue that younger artists could surprise everyone with the right momentum.
The competition is not only about popularity — it is also about organisation, ticket sales, production quality, and creating an event powerful enough to attract tens of thousands of people.
The Legacy of Namboole’s Biggest Shows
One of the most remembered concerts held at Namboole Stadium remains the performance by late South African reggae legend Lucky Dube.
His concert attracted a massive crowd and is still considered one of the biggest music events ever hosted at the venue.
That history has added even more pressure for any Ugandan artist hoping to take over the stage.
A successful Namboole concert would not simply be another show.
It would become a cultural moment.

The Human Side of Levixone’s Goal
Behind the dream is an artist who has spent years building his name and creating opportunities for Ugandan gospel music.
For Levixone, the Namboole goal represents more than personal achievement.
It reflects the growth of Uganda’s music industry and the possibility of local artists reaching new heights.
Every generation of musicians dreams of creating a moment that future artists can look back on.
The Big Question
Namboole Stadium remains the final mountain for Uganda’s music industry.
Levixone’s dream is still alive — but the history books are waiting for the first artist who can truly fill the stadium.
One thing is clear: the race to conquer Namboole has officially become one of Uganda’s biggest music conversations. Who do you think will be the first Ugandan artist to make history there?
