Ugandan media personality Mr. Henrie, whose real name is Henry Arinaitwe, has confirmed that he is a father, expressing gratitude to God for the blessing while reflecting on the responsibilities that come with raising a child.
Speaking during an interview with Sanyuka TV, the Galaxy Radio personality and events host said he appreciates becoming a parent, describing fatherhood as a privilege that should not be taken for granted.
“Of course, I’m a straight man and having a baby means I’m fully functioning. Many people out there do not have the blessing of being parents, I thank God for that,” Mr. Henrie said.
His comments come after speculation circulated about the identity of the child’s mother. The rumours emerged following the return of his Galaxy Radio colleague, Sovaria Hughes, from maternity leave after she gave birth to a baby boy named Rovian.
Some reports subsequently linked Mr. Henrie romantically to Hughes and suggested he could be the child’s father. However, the available account does not establish that connection.
During his interview, Mr. Henrie challenged the speculation, saying he had not previously made a public announcement about having a child. He did not directly confirm or deny the rumours linking him to Hughes.
“I do not know where the media gets the evidence because I have never come out to tell you I have a baby. Why are you speculating? The day I come out and say it myself, then you will confirm yourselves,” he said amid laughter.

His latest remarks now make his status as a father clear, but they do not establish the identity of the child’s mother or confirm any romantic relationship with Hughes.
Beyond the speculation, Mr. Henrie spoke about how becoming a parent has changed his outlook on life. He acknowledged that fatherhood brings challenges but said the experience has helped him develop a greater appreciation for the well-being of his child.
“I’m glad because not everyone gets that privilege and I thank God for blessing me and making me a father,” he said.
He added that parenthood requires navigating its challenges rather than expecting an easy journey. He also reflected on the difficulties some families face when children are born with medical complications, saying the well-being of his own child is something he does not take for granted.
“Fatherhood is a process that comes with its own challenges but there is no shortcut around it,” Mr. Henrie said.
The media personality’s comments offer a clearer picture of his personal milestone while leaving the circulating relationship rumours unresolved. He has publicly acknowledged becoming a father, but the supplied interview does not identify the child’s mother.
For now, Mr. Henrie is celebrating fatherhood and expressing gratitude for his child, while keeping the remaining details of his private life undisclosed.
