Posha UG says she was left frustrated and embarrassed after she was unable to perform at Ray G’s concert at Kololo Airstrip despite preparing for the event and arriving at the venue early.
The Ugandan singer claims she had spent considerable time and money rehearsing for the show and was even featured on the official artwork listing the day’s performers.
According to Posha, she arrived at the venue at around 6 PM and waited for her opportunity to take the stage.
That moment never came.
Now, the singer is publicly questioning why she was left out while other artists performed.
Posha UG has spoken out after what she describes as an unfair experience at Ray G’s concert at Kololo Airstrip.
The singer says she prepared extensively for the event, investing both time and money into rehearsals ahead of her expected performance.
She also claims that she was included in the promotional artwork for the concert, giving her reason to believe she was scheduled to perform.
Posha says she arrived at the venue as early as 6 PM.
But as the evening progressed, she watched other performers take the stage while she waited for her own opportunity.
According to the singer, that opportunity never came.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, Posha questioned why she had not been allowed to perform despite being cooperative throughout the event.
She specifically mentioned MC Kacheche and Councillor Amon, whom she accused of denying her the opportunity to take the stage.
“MC Kacheche and Councillor Amon, if every other artist that came performed, why didn’t I get the chance to perform? Why did you deny me that stage?” Posha asked.
She said the experience was particularly painful because, according to her, it was not the first time she had encountered a similar situation.
“It is the second time it is happening, and I was so ashamed, humiliated, and embarrassed,” she said.
Posha added that the experience left her questioning whether she should have attended the event at all.
“I felt like I wasn’t supposed to be there. Stop doing such things to us,” she said.
The singer also criticized what she described as the growing influence of emcees at shows in Mbarara.
“Emcees have taken over shows in Mbarara, but if you can do the shows on your own, why do you invite us to perform?” she asked.
Posha was particularly unhappy about the amount of stage time she says some emcees receive compared with artists who are booked to perform.
“It was so unfair. Why would an emcee get 40 minutes on stage and an artist not perform?” she said.
Posha UG is known for songs including “Enshonga,” “Massape” and “Enshazi,” the latter featuring fellow Ugandan singer Bruno K.
Her appearance on the promotional artwork for Ray G’s concert appears to have contributed to her expectation that she would perform during the event.
According to Posha, she did everything she could to prepare, including rehearsing ahead of time and arriving at the venue early.
However, being listed among performers did not ultimately translate into a stage appearance.
Posha has not publicly provided further details about what organizers told her on the night or whether she was given a specific reason for being left off the performance lineup.

For performing artists, being included on a concert lineup can involve more than simply showing up on the night.
Artists may spend money on rehearsals, transportation, dancers, styling and other preparations before a major performance.
Posha says she made that investment expecting to take the stage.
Her frustration therefore appears to center not only on missing a performance opportunity but also on what she describes as a lack of communication and respect for artists who prepare for shows.
Her criticism of emcees also raises a broader question about how stage time is allocated at concerts.
However, without a response from the event organizers or the individuals she mentioned, it remains unclear why Posha ultimately did not perform.
